About Kaajal Chandiramani

Kaajal Chandiramani was born in the lap of music, being the grand-daughter of the illustrious doyen of Sindhi culture, Padma Shri Prof. Ram Punjwani. She began her journey in music at the tender age of 13.

Her very first performance created such a stir that newspapers rhetorically declared “A STAR IS BORN”. Thereafter, she went onto carve a niche for herself in the field of music. Kaajal is proficient in Sufi, Folk, Sangeet, Ghazals, Bhajans, Film songs and sings in Sindhi, Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu and Punjabi languages making her one of the few linguist singers. She started training in Classical music from a very young age under Shri Krishnakant Bhai Parikh of the Mewati Gharana and is receiving guidance from Smt. Geeta Prem since the last many years.

aajal has had the honour of being under the esteemed guidance of the legendary duo Kalyanji Anandji Bhai and Ghazal Maestro Late Shri Jagjit Singhji. She has lent her voice for many Gujarati sugam sangeet albums and has also performed with stalwarts like Shri Purshotam Upadhyay & Shri Ashit Desai. Kaajal has innumerable performances in India and around the globe to her credit. Few of her memorable performances include performing at the Raj Bhavan,Mumbai, Sufi Festival, Delhi, SANA conferences (USA), World Sindhi Conference, London and 12 International Sindhi Sammellans to name a few.

Kaajal has various other Sindhi and Hindi videos which she has released on her Youtube Channel i.e.Kaajal Chandiramani. Kaajal is totally devoted to keeping the Sindhi Culture alive and her melodious performances have been a binding factor for Sindhis all over the world….Indeed, Sindhi’s are proud to have their own “Nightingale” as she was lovingly called by her Guru Revered Dada J.P Vaswani. Her passion for music has no limits. It can only be summarized by the famous quote, “Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music”.
